During his youth, while working in the maritime sector, his admiration for the quality of billiard tables worldwide inspired him to improve table quality in his own country. His dream was to one day own a large house and play on a high-quality billiard table.
Despite having no formal billiard training, he managed billiard halls until 1979, after which he began producing tables using valuable and exotic woods not found in his country. With this venture, he successfully elevated his country's billiards to European and world standards.
